The Most Important Miles Are Yet to Come
What do an RV, motorboat and motorcycle have in common?
The donation of these unwanted, but useable vehicles turns into valuable financial support for the only radio source for jazz music in Jackson. The proceeds of each donation benefit WJSU Public Radio, an organization devoted to engage, educate, and entertain by creating and providing innovative, outstanding programming fueled by intellectual and cultural diversity.
Car donation is simple.
Participants call 1-866-628-CARS (1-866-628-2277) to speak to a representative. The vehicle is usually picked up in 3-5 days at the donor’s convenience. Vehicle donors are asked to provide a clean title and make sure the vehicle has no major damage. A receipt for the donation will be sent as a follow-up in the mail, which can be used for tax purposes.
For nearly three decades, WJSU has relied upon the financial support of federal agencies, like CPB, to achieve the status of the area’s number one source for jazz and a first-rate training ground for communication students. As traditional funding sources for public broadcasting entities become less reliable, and the demand for the station’s unparalleled services increases, WJSU must find new initiatives to sustain its offerings. The station hopes to raise $8,000 through this program over the next year.
Unwanted but usable vehicles including cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, etc. are accepted. Some restrictions apply. Call 1-866-628-2277 or 601-979-8672 for more information.
