Lt. Governor Hoseman in Quarantine

Mississippi’s Covid 19 surge has hit the state capitol. Less than 24 hours after the 2022 legislative session opened, Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann announced he has the highly contagious virus. Hosemann, who is 74, is double vaccinated and has received a booster shot. He doesn't have any symptoms but will quarantine for five days according to CDC guidelines. The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 6,592 new COVID-19 cases and 11 additional deaths as of 3 p.m. Tuesday. State health officer, Dr. Thomas Dobbs, is encouraging residents to get vaccinated and those who are vaccinated to get booster shots.
