Former Mayoral Candidate now a City Employee

One of Mayor Chokwe Lumumba’s opponents for office is now a city employee.  Tuesday the Jackson City Council voted to appoint former mayoral candidate Patty Patterson a part-time deputy clerk for the city council.  The motion was brought to the council by ward 5 city councilmen Vernon Hartley.  Patterson says the appointment is an honor and pledged her full support to the council, the mayor and the citizens of Jackson.
