Wednesday was a record breaking day for Covid 19 in Mississippi. The State Department of Health reported 6,592 new cases and 11 new deaths Wednesday. It’s the single highest daily total of new cases in the state, surpassing the previous record of 5,048 in August 2021.The number of presumed positive coronavirus cases in Mississippi is now at 572,694 since March 2020. State health officer, Dr. Thomas Dobbs, is encouraging residents to get vaccinated and those who are vaccinated to get booster shots.
