Although she grew up with seven siblings, she and her husband have just one child, a 10-year-old son, born in the midpoint of her career. She balances the challenges of motherhood with instinctive roles as a coach, nurse, teacher and playmate. Since then she has worked extensively in radio in Baton Rouge before heading south of the border to Mexico for two and a half years. She's thrilled to be home in Louisiana and back at WRKF. She worked as general assignment reporter for WKAR for one and a half years while working toward a master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University. While at WKAR, she covered General Motors plant closings, city and state government, and education among other critical subjects.
